Getting Things Done

I have not been writing. I have not been writing for months. I know this blog often makes it look like I am, but I am not.

Lately, I’ve been working on another project. Not really something fun and not really something easy. The truth is: I bought a house. Exciting, right? Well, it might be if there was less work to do. So far, we have weathered the unexpected gas leak, the water heater breaking, electrical issues, and more. But it’s taken up every bit of spare time (I have not had a free weekend since October, you guys, between NaNo and getting the house). I closed on the house in December and have yet to move in. Yes, it needs that much work.

So instead of writing a post today, I’d like to direct you to the increasingly frustrating saga that is my home improvement projects over on my other blog, BrokenTarted.

This week’s episode includes a flooded kitchen and a leaky valve. Enjoy!

  1. Bought a house last year and I’m pretty sure I didn’t write a word through all of it. It was quite a time consuming ordeal and way too stressful to drum up any creative energy. And we had a house that was move in ready!

Good luck with all these housing projects. It’ll be worth it in the end.
