Catching Up

I’m actually behind by two blog posts on here. Yes, I missed one sometime in the Spring (March? May? I don’t remember) and I missed one in November. That means, in order to hit my goal of 3 posts per month, I have to make up for it now. After all, it’s December now. The end of the year. Did you forget I made goals for this year? Yeah, well, didn’t we all.

I always make goals at the end of the year and then put them away and generally completely forget that I had any to begin with. This year has been a lot of falling behind and catching up, in many different aspects. Since I bought my house, the large majority of weekends have been taken up by house stuff (replacing things, fixing things, painting, building, yard work, etc). There’s always something to do. I guess that’s homeownership for you. I mean, I have a half-finished bathroom remodel that’s been that way since July.

When I’m not working on the house, I spend a lot of time wondering if I should do something drastic like sell all my rabbits. Of course, I also spend a lot of time watching Netflix. I should spend more time writing, but inspiration has been lacking as of late (and by that I mean, the last 3 years). They say not to do anything irrational after a big change (like buying a house), which is why I have not sold all my rabbits or gone out and gotten 5 cats.

So here I am, behind as usual as 2016 comes to a close. I am ready for 2016 to be over. It’s been a largely terrible year, at least the last few months. Let’s get on to 2017.
